It feels hard to attract the right clients because it IS hard! Let's work through it together.1/11/2022 Currently, I'm in an interesting position and it's all my fault. I've gotten enough podcast editing work for clients to be extremely busy but not enough to outsource. And outsourcing is not a goal for my company anyway. Still, the weird position I'm in is that I've been pretty vocal online about my podcast editing journey and I think because of this podcast editors and audio engineers have been emailing me for work, connections, etc. WHY IS THIS A WEIRD SITUATION? Because as I mentioned, I don't actually have work to outsource. BUT I can't stop from thinking, "how can I help these lovely folks who are reaching out to me to attract the right clients for them?" I've been slow to act because I don't think that we can all do the same things to attract the clients we need, the clients that we want. I think we have to tailor our client seeking efforts to our personalities, schedules and energy levels. I'm loud and write and talk to process what I'm think, so posting a lot online has been working well for me. But if you're more introverted, than you'll need a different approach. A client attraction plan that fits you. I taught language outside of the formal educational system for years and loved it. And then I hit a very real burn out point. So the last thing I want to do is teach again. Anything. BUT I want to share the things I've learned and have seen others do to successfully get podcast editing clients. So I'm going to give this a go. If I don't hate it, I'll turn it into a longer course OR a self paced course OR something else someone more skilled at this will inevitably suggest along the way. Please don't take my hesitance at doing this as a lack of enthusiasm. I am passionate about connecting podcast editors to both other editors as well as people looking for editors. Very passionate about it. So let's channel that energy into something tangible for YOU, the skilled podcast editor who is struggling with finding clients. MASTERMIND DETAILS: Over the course of 4 weeks we'll go over 4 specific client attraction strategies that I've used or seen others use that may help you reach your client goals. We'll go over the strategies AND talk through if and how they might work for you personally. NOTE: This is a VERY interactive mastermind where you'll be asked to share your ideas and potential experimentation of these strategies in your client attracting activities. And report back to the group weekly on how it went. The 4 strategies are listed below and include a mix of extrovert and introvert friendly ones in order to help anyone participating in the mastermind. The mastermind specifics are below, as well as the order form. If you'd like to pay with a method other than the credit card option below, please email me at podcasteditingplus@gmail.com. The first group will be the beta group, thus the ridiculously low price of $99. I'm learning by earning, which is how I personally am navigating this space. And loving it. IF you sign up for this course you need to be comfortable a flexible, organic, less structured beta mastermind experience. Don't worry, there will be plenty of value! WHO ARE YOU? I envision this mastermind to be the most useful to a podcast editor who has some experience with editing for clients but is struggling getting the amount and/or type of clients they want. If you want to get into podcast editing, this info and pace will probably be too much of a heavy lift for you. If that's you, could you email me? If there's enough interest, I'll put together a beginners version of this mastermind next time. *** This is NOT a mastermind in how to get into network podcast editing jobs. This is not my area of experience, although I do have some contacts in that space cause I can't shut up about podcasting.*** FILL OUT THIS INTEREST FORM TO GET MORE INFO emailed to you in March, when we start accepting registration for the April masterclass: forms.gle/vdUWqVJNHqUoxAPp9 When: 4 sessions: in (tentatively) April 2022 at 1pm New York, 6pm London, 7pm Rome 1 hour sessions . HOW THIS ALL STARTED About a year and a half ago, I started sharing my podcast editing learning experiences online (here, on LinkedIn and in my newsletter) while simultaneously improving my own technical skills via editing podcasts for clients. Then I started to share the business pain points I had. And then created some live events online and a nice, cozy LinkedIn group for us to share our podcast editing questions, ideas, etc. And I love all this. But I guess my sharing has its consequences, lol. If I'm honest, I'm not getting emails daily asking how to get podcast editing clients. To be clear, I am NOT an expert at this. But I have reached my own goal of how many clients I wanted. Podcast editing is not my entire business, but it's a large part of it. And I'm still getting editing inquiries weekly now too.
