What do you get when two Podcasters geek out about coffee for far too long? A new podcast: Geopats Coffee, Yesterday you heard from Shankar of the Writer and Geek podcast reflect on the conversation we had about a year ago for the Geopats Coffee podcast. He was the 1st guest we had on that show and if I remember correctly, us geeking out about coffee off mic was one of the reasons why the podcast got started! Today I want to share with you a clip from the beginning of the full episode/conversation where we talked about our coffee preferences AND where he shared a story about a special coffee moment with a certain Podcaster I think many of you will know!

During this an episode a day for 30 days experience of #NaPodPoMo people ask me why I am putting myself through this pressure. This episode and the following Sunday episodes is focused on the answer to this question, basically answering in a reflective, "what I've learned" each week kind of way. This week I describe 3 aspects of the episodes that we/I relistened to this week that I thought could use improvement and 3 things that I am proud of.

Yesterday we heard from Matthew Boyle of Language Card Games about his conversation with me (Steph) in December 2018 on Geopats Language podcast. As you heard in his reflection, reading and playing with language are important to him. These aspects of language loving are strong threads in my language love affair as well. So with that in mind, I want to share two clips from his December 2018 episode about reading. One clip is reading in English in his childhood and one is from reading Chinese as an adult. I hope you enjoy listening to these stories as much as I do!

Matthew Boyle wants to make language learning magical for you. We met on YouTube about 2 years ago and he was my first remote Geopats Language podcast guest. It was so much fun to dig into his relationship with language and his experiences learning Mandarin Chinese in China. In this episode for NaPodPoMo he reflects on our episode from December 2018 and shares many of the wonderful things he is doing in the language world nowadays.

The past two days we've been hearing from Summer Rylander of eat something go somewhere food blog about the book 'Global Soul' by Pico Iyer. There has been a lot of talk about place, home and location and this got me to thinking about an interview I did with a woman named Ting when I lived in Shanghai, China a few years ago. Ting, like Pico Iyer, was a TCK with an interesting story and view on things. I interviewed her for what is now the Geopats Online podcast (then it was called Virtual Expats). We talked about how her online habits changed each time her location changed. I relistened to this episode recently and found a clip that bridges us nicely from talking about place to talking about language, which is the next topic we will be covering on Thursday and Friday this week with past guest of Geopats Language podcast, Matthew Boyle.

In her reflections she touched on the sense of home that Pico covers in many part of the book. I thought it would be nice to play part of this episode covering this topic for you today. This section is from about 14 minutes to 21 minutes in the original episode. If you want to hear the full episode, go to: https://www.stephfuccio.com/geopatsbooks
